Sadly, I have no problem believing that the system mixed up two Vietnamese - one with the first name Nguyen and one with the last name Nguyen - and almost convicted a thief of murder.



Once, when I went to visit a Vietnamese client in jail, the guards sent me a guy who was at least 50 lbs heavier than my client and had an entirely different name (see Tuesday in this post).
