That's it. I have finally decided to launch this blog with the aim of providing a mix of up-to-date and critical information on the evolution of the European Telecommunication law in Europe. As such the title of the blog already seems a bad start:
First, there is no single European telecommunication law but there are 27 laws (as many as the EU members states). So the title should have been "European telecommunications laws".
Second, the European directive applies to all "electronic communications" and not only to telecommunications. So the title should have been "European electronic communications law".
However, because (i) the law applicable to telecommunication is largely harmonised at EU level and (ii) the title telecommunication is more common (and less legalistic) than the wording "electronic communications", I have decided to keep up with this title.
It goes without saying that nothing in this blog should be considered as legal advise of any kind.
Anyway, the proof of the pudding is in the eating.... so let's start
