on the importance of audited data and the Commission's lack of veto for remedies

In a letter made public today, the European Commission has asked AGCOM not to allow Telecom Italia to increase the prices it for Local Loop Unbundling ("LLU") until audited data justifying such increase is available. The Commission invites AGCOM to adopt the final measure with regard to the LLU prices only once such audited data are available.

However, as the Commission has no veto power for remedies, it could not prevent AGCOM to adopt such measure.
